Here are my first two attempts at making microscope slide ornaments and soldering. Now I truly understand why soldering requires a lot of practice. My efforts are pretty rough but I'm glad I gave it a shot, and I'm sure I will make more of these.

Soldering is like painting with molten metal! :) I'm glad you're playing. I'm still working on the energy to dismantle my art stuff - or at the least cut it down by 7/8s. We'll see....
Don't you dare shut down yet, Jill! You need to do this altered book project with us! After we get you hooked again, then you can re-visit the subject. Just think, all your vintage stuff is getting even more vintage and valuable...you can't get rid of it now! Not to mention...bottom line... you are too damn talented to quit.
